Dear RMH Families:
Who can believe the year is almost over! With only a little over 6 week of school left the PTA wants to remind everyone that we have some amazing, fun events for the students and family. Please be on the look out for the PTA Auction, Beach Blast, Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, Field Day and End of Year Parties. Everyone enjoys these events and are a great way to end the year and show the students you are proud of all they have accomplished.
And PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK MAY 7-11! Be on the lookout for what the PTA will be hosting to thank all the terrific RMH teachers for their hard work. There will be many ways for you and your child to be involved and make the day/s extra special for all the staff at RMH.
Finally, as the year comes to a close please think about being involved in the PTA in the 2018-19 year. We love being able to provide feild,trips, parties, community events, assemblies, teacher treats and more for our students and staff, but need your help. Please consider becoming involved in any way that you can. Our group cannot run without parent involvement and we would love any type of help you can give. 5th Grade
Dear 5th grade parents, This is the last month we will be collecting pictures for the graduation video. We are looking for pictures featuring three or more students from Kindergarten (2012) through 5th grade (2018) at RMH activities such as classroom parties, field trips, field day, 5th grade camp out, Haggar Howdy/Fall Round-up, Beach Blast/Spring Fling, first/last day of school, recess, etc. If it has 5th graders doing RMH things, we want it! The Haggar Wellness Fair was held on March 22nd. There were over 150 Haggar students and close to 450 in total attendance that evening. A special "Thanks" to all the vendors that provided such important information regarding health and wellness topics. Thank you to all the teachers and some vendors for providing raffle items for the students. Thanks to all who attended and contributed a canned food good. We collected 287 items. Congrats to all the jump rope contest winners. We hope you had a good experience and fun time at the fair. The Wellness Team |

On Friday, May 25, Haggar will be having Field Day. We will be offering new field day shirts for all grade levels. Please be looking for the flyer that will allow you to order. If you are interested in volunteering for field day, you can contact Coach Boydston at Blake.Boydston@pisd.edu. There will be a flyer for volunteering coming soon and you may get an email too. Dear Haggar Family, I just wanted to give a huge shout out to ALL of our Haggar students that tried out and those that competed in the Wellness Fair Jump Rope Competition. We had over 120 students compete and many, many people cheering them on! The winners each received a jump rope like the ones at school and all participants were given finalists certificates! There were about 25 kids per grade level that qualified. They performed before the Wellness Fair and the ‘Final Five’ students jumping per grade level, won a jump rope! Congratulations to everyone that tried out, and to those that made it to the competition. In addition, a big ‘Thank You’ to our Wellness Fair Committee and other teachers for helping judge the competition! What a great way to be heart healthy!
