🏫 During the Day
|
🍽️
LunchLunch is served in the cafeteria. Children may bring their lunch or purchase a school lunch through the SchoolCafé app. SchoolCafé App →After the first 2–3 weeks, parents may join their child for lunch at designated tables outside the cafeteria. Only your child may join you — no other classmates. |
🥤
Snacks & Water BottlesPlease send simple snacks your child can open independently — goldfish, pretzels, or fruit are great options. Send a leak-proof water bottle daily. No straws. (No Stanleys please — they're tricky in backpacks!) Peanut products are allowed in lunches, but classroom snacks must be peanut-free. |
|
🎒
Backpack & SuppliesSend a backpack daily. Order supplies through the PTA (delivered to the classroom before school starts!) or purchase independently and bring on the first day. Order via PTA → PISD Supply List → |
🔒
LockersEach child has a locker for their backpack. For younger students, please include a labeled change of clothes appropriate for the season — accidents happen! Lost and Found is located outside the library and fills up quickly. Label everything! |
|
📂
Daily FolderA folder comes home each day with behavior updates, classwork, occasional homework, and school/PTA info. Check it every day — this is one of the primary ways teachers communicate with families! |
🎨
SpecialsStudents enjoy Gym, Music, Art & Library. Haggar is known for its amazing specials programs! Students are grouped into color groups for their specials schedule. Assignments are made in the first few weeks. |
